A Quick History on Rome

I wrote the history of Rome (753 BCE - 476 CE). If you guys want, I can make a second part (476 - 1453). And also, WWI and WWII content are coming soon. So, let’s jump in. This is the story of Rome.  Though this is mythical, Rome was founded by two brothers called Romulus and Remus. After meeting a wolf, Romulus killed Remus and became the first king.  In reality, in 1000 BCE, there was a village in modern-day Italy. It was very small. One day, however, a man called Romulus led many other villagers to found a city. What they didn’t know was that it would become a massive empire, be the father of modern democracies, and much more.  Following the real R...

What if Julius Caesar was Never Killed?

We all know that Julius Caesar was assassinated on March 15, 44 BCE. But what if that never happened?  What’s up guys, it’s Emperor Augustus II of the OttoRoman Empire. We'll cover a speculative timeline from 44 BCE to 15 BCE. Without further ado, let’s go.  So, in real life, Marcus Brutus, Gaius Cassius, and many other people conspired to kill Caesar. However, if Caesar didn’t die, there would be no Second Triumvirate. Instead, Antony, Octavian, and Lepidus would’ve just been three normal supporters of Caesar.  Caesar’s first conquest would’ve been Scotland. Rome never took Scotland...

What if Julius Caesar was Never Killed? (Part 2)

Hey guys! If you read my post “What if Julius Caesar was Never Killed,” you would know that I assumed that he would’ve selected Augustus as heir. But I also said that there were other options. Let’s check them out.  The next option would be Mark Antony. Let’s assume that he still fell in love with the queen of Egypt, Cleopatra. After taking the throne in 14 BCE, Antony divided the empire into the Antonian Empire in the West, ruled by Antony from Rome, and the Cleopatranic Empire, ruled by Cleopatra from Egypt. Thus, Egypt would’ve been a very powerful Roman province. Because of this, Constantine would’ve been content with Egypt as the Eastern capital, not moving it to Constantinople (aka Byzantium, Istanbul, or whatever you call it.) So Mark Antony would’ve prevented Constantinople from being a powerful city.  Another option would be Ptolemy XV Caesar. He was Julius Caesar’s son with Cleopatra. (Her father was one of the last rulers of Ptolemy.) He probably would’ve ...
